Who needs a SIM card?

These are arguably the most irritating public promotions people, YU marketers. Every damn day some haggered looking lasses with dusty shoes and dry lips walk to me and ask me to take a free YU sim card. A few times I agree but most times I decline, how many YU simcards does somebody need? You cant give people simcards everyday, they are not like after-pills that Kenyan women are addicted to. If SIMcards were edible there would be no drought in Northern Kenya.

Apparently YU has no need for money, their SIMcards are free, SMS are free, Phone calls are free… where do they get money from? If the want to give everything for free why don’t they just rebrand and put a red flag on their logo and become part of the Red Cross? I suspect that YU was started merely to spoil the business for real telecom companies, just like the G7 gang exists to spoil it for a Jaluo who wears funny hats.

Obviously, YU is very desperate for customers, and unfortunately their strategy for marketing is a hopeless flop. What people need is quality services, not donations, THIS IS NOT INDIA!! YU does not have any regional offices, they have No shops, no Customer care, No 3G, No Loyalty points, No agents, No promotions, No customers, No dignity and they are a perennial nuisance. YU is basically a telecom hawking company.

The best thing YU can do is just get rid of those annoying marketers of theirs because, We all Have YU simcards But Have nothing to do with them.
